②ケアマネージャーに相談する
親が、要支援・要介護認定を受けているようであれば、ケアマネージャーに相談するのが最適です。その理由は、人により身体の状態や必要な支援・介助は異なってくるからです。自分の親のことだとはいえ、離れて暮らしている方はもちろん、同居している場合でも気づかないことはいろいろとあるものです。
例えば、「最近、左足があがりづらくなってきており、階段が危険である」「定時薬を飲み忘れることが目立っている」など、細かな日々の変化は、無事に旅先で過ごすために重要な情報です。
また、現時点で要支援や要介護の認定を受けておらず、心配な点がある場合は、介護事業者に相談することも、手段として挙げられます。介護の視点で、気になるポイントをプロに相談・確認し、フォローしてもらえると心強いですね。
③具体的なプランを立てる
親の希望と、サポートが必要な点を考慮し、旅行の具体的なプランを検討してみましょう。ポイントは、イベントを詰めすぎないことで、シンプルな方が望ましいです。親を思う気持ちが故に、「これもしたい！」「あの場所へ連れていきたい。」とスケジュールは過密になる傾向に。加齢による体力の変化は、親本人が感じ、把握しているはずですから、一緒にプランを立てることをおすすめします。

自家用車で移動するか、公共交通機関を利用するかといった点ですが、複数の候補を入れておくことが賢明です。自家用車であれば問題ないことがほとんどですが、タクシーやバス等を利用数場合は、車椅子の乗り入れ、乗り口までのエレベーターの有無などを確認しましょう。また、利用交通の便が、あまりよくない地域へ行かれる場合、電車に間に合わなかった場合、すぐにタクシーが手配してもらえる地域なのかという点も留意しておきます。近年都市部で見かけるユニバーサルデザインタクシー等も便利です。

⑤旅先の医療機関等を確認、または予約をする
旅先で体調を崩してしまった場合に、すぐに対応できる医療機関があるか確認をしましょう。泊りがけの旅行など、少しでも環境が変わることで体調を崩しやすい方もいらっしゃいます。また、透析のような専門的な治療を、旅先でも受ける必要がある方もいらっしゃいます。
