介護の仕事をするにあたり、「身体介護」を行うためには、介護の資格が必要になります。
介護の資格は短期間でとれるものから、難易度が高い国家資格まで、様々な種類の資格があります。
この「介護職員初任者研修」は3か月程で取得できる、最も初歩的な資格であり、介護をスタートするための資格とも言えます。
受講制限などはなく、どなたでも受講する事ができます。学歴や経験は必要なく、資格を取得したい全ての方が対象になります。また、全国どこでもこの資格を持っていれば、介護職員として就業する事ができます。
規定のカリキュラム（１３０時間）を修了し、筆記試験に合格する必要があります。
以前の「ホームヘルパー２級」の時は施設での実習の項目がありました。
しかしそれがなくなった代わりに、研修終了後の試験が課せられるようになりました。
試験と聞くと構えてしまう部分もありますが、落とすための試験ではなく、研修の全カリキュラムを振り返るような確認の試験です。
そのため、「介護の技術や理念の基礎を学び、身につけるための試験」といえます。
どんなことが学べるの？
ここでは実際に学ぶ規定のカリキュラムを、説明しながら部分的に紹介したいと思います。
①職務の理解
・介護保険サービスの種類や、介護職員としてどのような心構えが必要なのか。
・他の業種との連携や、介護職員の必要性など。
②介護における尊厳の保持・自立支援
・介護サービス利用者の能力に応じた自立支援。
・介護についての基本的な理念や、行ってはいけない事。
・人の尊厳を守る事の理解や、必要な事。

・加齢や疾病による心身の変化や、日常生活への影響について
・高齢者のかかりやすい病気や、生活で気をつけるべきポイントなど。
⑦認知症の理解
・認知症の方を取り巻く環境や、原因、心身の変化、基本的なかかわり方。
・認知症ケアの理念や加齢との違い、症状別のケア技術の習得。
⑧障害の理解
・障害の概念や医学的分野、ノーマライゼーションの解説。
・障害ごとの症例を通し、介護職としてのアプローチや支援方法。
・障碍者家族とのかかわり方など。
⑨こころとからだのしくみと生活支援
・実習や演習（移動・食事・排泄・入浴など）
・介護技術や知識の習得。
⑩研修の振り返り
・研修で学習したことの振り返りや確認。
・修了試験の実施
資格を取得するメリットは？
①就職に有利になる
現在、介護福祉業界は慢性的な人員不足に陥っています。
就職難にはまずならないでしょう。
しかし介護職員募集の求人をよく見かけますが、「有資格者のみ」といった事業所も少なくありません。

学習コースとしては【平日コース・土日コース・夜間コース】などを設定している所が多いです。
費用は平均して90,000円前後で受講する事ができます。
多くの福祉事業者が講座を開設しておりますが、一般企業だけで受けれるわけではありません。
